Under Mr. Byles’ leadership, FreeWave is moving through its next phase of innovation and growth, pivoting from a discreet radio manufacturer to an IIoT solutions provider with a dynamic Edge Computing platform. With a strong technical background in wireless, networking, and security technologies and demonstrated success as an executive sales leader, employee motivator, and consensus builder, Mr. Byles’ aptitude and demonstrated success aligns perfectly with his new role at FreeWave.
Prior to his appointment to CEO, he held the position of Sr. Vice President of Worldwide Sales at FreeWave where he restructured the sales and support teams to prepare for the burgeoning IIoT market. Prior to FreeWave, Mr. Byles led global sales and marketing organizations at Rajant Corporation, Firetide, Relevant Security, Motorola, and Proxim Corporation. At these companies, he was often responsible for providing leadership in a startup situation or helping to realign the company for a successful exit.
Co-founder of FreeWave Technologies, Mr. Wulchin now serves the company as Chairman of the Board and CEO. An accomplished industry leader, his commitment to and passion for both the wireless industry and FreeWave’s evolution into an intelligent edge solutions provider played a pivotal role in attracting and recruiting high caliber talent for FreeWave’s appointed Board of Directors.
Michael Tate is COO & SVP Global Sales and Marketing for FreeWave Technologies. With 30 years of successful C-level experience at major multinational technology organizations, Mr. Tate has a proven track record in building profitability and governance in both public and privately traded companies. In his current position at FreeWave, he will play a central role in building and executing the global sales vision and growing the company’s broad portfolio of radio, IIoT, and new Edge computing platforms for industrial enterprises. Following a career in military intelligence, Michael held progressive executive management roles with increasing levels of responsibility in sales, business development, strategy and execution, and procurement.
Before joining FreeWave, he headed M Tate Solutions, a management consulting firm that delivered integrated strategic solutions to C-level clients on strategic roadmaps, global supply chain, product sourcing, business development, and equity investments.
Jeff Horton is CRO for FreeWave Technologies. Jeff’s experience spans the realm of high-tech focused on leveraging communications technologies that enable productivity and performance while focusing on lessening environmental impacts for a more sustainable world.
