Request an RF Path Study

As manufacturer of wireless data communications equipment, FreeWave has unmatched expertise in designing industrial wireless networks. Ensure your next deployment with FreeWave is successful by leveraging our expertise through our path study service.

Path Study

What is a Path Study?

A path study is an analysis of wireless paths used to estimate signal and other performance variables.

Path studies take into account:

  • Hardware variables such as antenna gain
  • Link distance
  • Antenna height
  • Earth curvature
  • Elevation difference
  • Buildings and foliage

A path study will determine which wireless paths are viable for reliable communication. Using this data, FreeWave can provide a draft design for your network.

How do I request a Path Study?

Simply click the link below and fill out the form. You’ll receive a follow-up e-mail with a link to download our coordinate form. At a minimum, you’ll need to provide GPS coordinates and antenna heights in the coordinate form. Google Earth files are welcomed but not required.
